Katteb vs Genspark

Genspark is the best of this group at turning one prompt into a finished report or deck. The difference is where the work lands: their output arrives in their app, ours lands in your accounts.

The short answer

Choose Katteb if

  • The deliverable is an action, not a document: published, sent, updated, replied to.
  • You want it to run while your laptop is shut.
  • You want the deck written on a server and dropped into your own library, not held inside another app.

A browser agent on our servers with a Chrome profile of your own, and a toolbelt that writes the files on the server.

Choose Genspark if

  • You want the prettiest research report or deck from a single prompt.
  • You want an agent that will place a real phone call for you.
  • You prefer an AI browser you control on your own machine, with your own logins in it.

An all-in-one super agent for research, slides, sheets and outbound calls, with its own AI browser.

The difference, line by line

The lines that actually change the day, not a feature count.

Katteb Genspark
What it is A browser agent with its own real Chrome profile on our servers, plus a toolbelt for files, data and media. A super agent for research, slides, sheets, images, video and outbound phone calls.
Where the browser runs On Katteb's servers, always on, one dedicated profile per account. Their own AI browser, installed on your machine.
Your signed-in accounts You sign in once inside your own agent browser and the session stays. Whatever your own browser is already signed in to.
Exit IP address A static ISP address tied to your host, the same one on every run. Your own address, since the browser is on your machine.
CAPTCHA Solved inside the run. You are there to solve it.
Price before you run it The plan card shows the hold (200 credits) before you press Run. A credit meter per action. Unused monthly credits expire at the end of the cycle.
A task that fails Not charged at all, and the hold comes straight back. Credits are spent as the actions run.
Ceiling on one task 1,500 credits a task on the entry plan, and we absorb the rest. No per-task ceiling.

Three differences that matter

Not features we counted. Three decisions in the architecture.

One browser, one identity

Your agent works in its own Chrome profile on our server, from a static IP, and stays signed in between one task and the next. The others either open a fresh sandbox per task and inject your session into it, or drive the browser on your own laptop, which then has to be awake. A task that runs on LinkedIn at 3am needs a steady identity, not a new sandbox.

You see the price before you run it

A task holds 200 credits and settles at what it really cost, and a task that fails is charged nothing. The rest of this category bills from a credit pool that drains whether the task worked or not, with no budget stop to catch it.

A run you can talk to, and stop without losing it

Send a message while a task is running and it is delivered to the agent mid-flight rather than queued for the next one. When it hits a login wall or a real decision it stops and asks you instead of guessing. Press Stop and it wraps up, hands you the report and the files it already made, and charges only for the part that ran.

What a task costs, before you run it

The loudest complaint in this whole category is that the price only appears after it is gone. Here is the entire policy.

Before it runs

It holds 200 credits, then you pay what the run really cost.

If it fails

You are charged nothing. Stop it halfway and you pay for the part that ran.

The ceiling

1,500 credits a task on the entry plan, and we absorb the rest.

Questions people ask

Yes, and on the server rather than in a web app. make_pptx writes a real .pptx with native editable charts, headline number slides, section dividers and one of six colour themes, and the tables are measured to fit the slide. It arrives as a file in your library, not a page in ours.

Its AI browser runs on your machine, so that machine has to be on and awake. Katteb runs on our servers, which is what makes a 3am scheduled task possible.

Credits bought in a pack never expire. A plan's monthly allowance is for that month and spending draws on it first, so none of it is wasted. Nothing is deducted for a task that failed.

No. If outbound calling is the job, Genspark does it and we do not. Katteb has Twilio, Telnyx and Unifonic in the integration library, so an agent can send the message, but a spoken call is not something we offer.

Other comparisons

The same lines, against other platforms.

Put it on one real task

Every plan includes the agents, from $19 a month. A free account opens the whole model catalogue to try in chat, and an agent run starts when a plan does.
